I love working with return clients, especially when they’re as amazing as the Carkovic family. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing their milestones, from family portraits to special occasions. This time, the focus was on mom and the kids, creating beautiful memories amidst the blooming fields of Pura Vida Flower Farm in Vero Beach, FL.
The day was perfect for a Flower Mini Session—sunny, with just a hint of a breeze to keep things comfortable. However, the brightness at the beginning of our session presented a bit of a challenge.
Harsh sunlight can be tricky, but it’s also an opportunity to get creative. To soften the light, we decided to move closer to the ground, using a Kristina's Vintage VW Beetle for shade. This car was just what we needed to add a bit of pizzazz!
This family did amazing, but Ace was a true pro. Having been in front of my lens multiple times, he knows exactly how to work the camera. He’s so confident now, and was excited to make the most of the session.
The younger children were absolutely captivated by the flowers. Their wide-eyed wonder and natural curiosity made for some sweet shots.
Whether they were gently touching the petals, giggling as they explored, or simply basking in the beauty of the surroundings, every moment was filled with joy.
One of my favorite aspects of this session was the connection between mom and her kids. As a mom myself, I know how hard it is to get in front of the camera since you’re so often the one behind it. This opportunity was so special for Mom.
The love and affection between them were undeniable, and it translated beautifully through the lens. Each hug, each laugh, each glance shared between them was a testament to the strong family bond they share.
I’m so grateful for the Carkovic family, and how they have supported me throughout the years. Working with them is always a joy, and this session was no exception. Every element came together to create a collection of photos that are as beautiful as they are meaningful.
