This is Josh and Elyse’s first holiday season in Vero Beach! To celebrate, they booked me for a festive mini session at Round Island Beach Park.
I’m always super excited to meet first-time clients, and Josh and Elyse were no different! These two are such an adorable couple, and I am thrilled that they signed up for my mini sessions this year.
Josh and Elyse brought their adorable frenchie Linus. They were a little worried how Linus would do since it was his very first time getting professional photos done with the family, but he did great!
One thing that Elyse and Josh did that took their session above and beyond was their outfits! They followed my wardrobe coordination guide to the last letter, and I couldn’t be prouder of them.
Everyone was super excited for the session, which was awesome! There were no dragging feet, which meant that Elyse and Josh warmed up to the camera pretty much right away, and we were able to take all the shots that we wanted.
Like most guys, Josh was probably the least comfortable in front of the camera, but that didn’t stop him from having a great attitude about it! I was thrilled for the couple as they loosened up and started having a blast.
Elyse expressed interest in sunset and beach shots that highlighted the water. I don’t blame her! The Florida sunsets are beyond magical, and the water curled in perfect waves along the shore.
She also wanted to focus on more natural poses, so I prepared a list of prompts for some cute and candid interactions between the couple.
Some of my absolute favorites include walking towards or away from me, dancing, and yes, kissing! My goal isn’t necessarily to capture the kiss itself, but the magical smile that the couple shares right after.
We definitely got the shot! Seriously—everything about this session was perfection. I’m so proud of these two for absolutely slamming this festive mini session out of the park. Thanks so much, Josh and Elyse! It was so much fun to have you at my beach mini sessions. I hope to see you and Linus again soon!
