Vincent Family Beach Mini Session in Vero Beach, FL

Recently, I had the pleasure of welcoming the Vincent family to Vero Beach, FL. At the time of this session, they were brand new to the area and first time clients, so it was a thrill to show them the beauty of Vero Beach. This was the perfect backdrop for a family eager to make new memories.

Heather and Greg Vincent have one two-year-old son named Noah. They brought an infectious enthusiasm to their photo session, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. They were so easygoing and flexible, and that definitely helped on a windy day like today!

On the day of our shoot, it was windy enough to fly kites, which isn’t exactly the best thing for photos. Fortunately, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. We sought refuge from the wind when we could, but for a lot of the photos, the wind added a touch of movement.

The good news is that if the wind messes up your hair, we can always delete the picture and try again. This meant that we could choose the best images from the entire session, so no one felt self-conscious.

Noah's energy made the session vibrant and alive. Heather and Greg were the epitome of patience and flexibility, playing and interacting with Noah in a way that allowed me to capture beautiful, candid moments despite the windy conditions.

As a local photographer, there's a special joy in showcasing the beauty of my corner of the world, and this session with the Vincents was no exception. Just look at the sky and the waves!

To manage the playful chaos of a two-year-old, we crouched low to meet Noah at his level, which not only helped stabilize the shots against the wind but also brought a fresh perspective to the images.

The outcome of our beach mini session was nothing short of adorable. The natural light, combined with the sea breeze and the Vincent family's easy-going nature, resulted in photos that feel dynamic and intimate.

Heather has plans to print these photos for their family home, turning these fleeting moments into lasting memories on their walls. It's always a fulfilling part of my job to know that the art we created together will become part of a family's daily life.

Whalen Family Celebrate a New Puppy with a Family Beach Session

Oftentimes, when I photograph family growth, it means a new baby! However, this time, I had the opportunity to document the Whalen Family as they celebrate the adoption of their new puppy, Tux!

Vero Beach is known for its breathtaking beaches and tranquil atmosphere, and it provided the perfect backdrop for the Whalen family’s photo shoot. However, things didn’t go as planned for our original session date.

It started raining, which is a common thing here in Florida, so we rescheduled for another date. Meg and Danny were so flexible about the timing, and everyone was still ready to smile a few days later!

On the rescheduled evening, the skies were still not looking great, but we still managed to create some magic. The slightly overcast sky gave our photos a soft, natural light that enhanced the warmth of the family.

In addition to the new puppy, Danny and Meg have two amazing kids: Rosie and Joey! Meg is a talented artist and illustrator known for her delightful children's books, and she homeschools the kids. Way to go, Mom!

Rosie and Joey's playful energy, combined with Tux’s adorable antics, made for some fantastic photographs. Wether it was walking alongside the beach or playing with the sand, we focused on creating great memories that showed how beautiful their relationships are.

Working with the Whalen family was such a great experience. Their relaxed approach and willingness to embrace the moment helped us create a stunning collection of images that they will cherish for years to come.

These images tell a story of love, family, and the simple joys of life. As a photographer, it was a privilege to capture these precious moments for the Whalens.

Incredible Beach Family Session at Golden Sands Beach Park

In the picturesque setting of Golden Sands Beach Park in Vero Beach, Florida, I had the privilege of photographing a beautiful and resilient family. Susan and Nick, accompanied by their adorable children Lily and Jack, embarked on a much-needed vacation at Disney's Vero Beach Resort.

This loving and close-knit family embraced the opportunity to create lasting memories after a challenging year. Susan, having faced major health struggles and multiple surgeries, wished to document this special moment by the beach, and that's where I came in!

Susan and Nick's family had such a strong bond, and it was evident that this vacation was a momentous occasion for them. After enduring a year filled with health challenges, they were determined to celebrate their strength and resilience.

The beach served as the perfect backdrop for capturing their joy. As we explored Golden Sands Beach Park, the soft sand and the gentle sound of the ocean waves provided a serene atmosphere that complemented the family's infectious happiness.

Susan’s main concern was to document the bliss of their trip together. With this in mind, we made sure to capture a gallery that would reflect the unique dynamics within their family. Group pictures showcased their collective love, while individual portraits captured each family member's distinct personality.

Lily, who is five years old, and Jack who is two, were full of energy and playfulness. Susan told me ahead of time that they love having their photos taken, and she was right! Their enthusiasm for pictures and their natural silliness made for some adorable shots!

Can you feel the excitement in the air? I’ve got to share a fabulous beach mini photo session with the incredible Green Family! I can’t wait to dive into their adventure at Round Island Beach Park, where outfit coordination, fun, and candid shots stole the show!

Lindsay and Brian, along with their lovely daughter Elise, were absolutely fantastic during their beach mini photo session. In today's fast-paced world, capturing and preserving family moments has become more important than ever, and I’m so glad that they participated in my beach mini sessions!

Round Island Beach Park was the perfect location for our beach photo session because it provided the Green Family with a picturesque backdrop. With its golden sands, azure waters, and breathtaking coastal scenery, I couldn’t have asked for a better spot! Round Island Beach Park definitely makes this family shine, and I’m all here for it!

One of the keys to a successful family photo session is outfit coordination. The Green Family truly excelled in this aspect because they carefully selected outfits that complemented each other and the scenic beach surroundings. With a harmonious blend of colors and styles, they created a cohesive style that was visually pleasing and full of personality.

During our beach mini photo session, Lindsay and Brian went above and beyond to make a happy space. By encouraging Elise to play, explore, and express herself freely, they created authentic moments that truly reflected the spirit and personality of their family dynamic.

Lindsay and Brian knew exactly how to keep the party going, and their little star, Elise, sparkled with her infectious laughter and playful spirit. They transformed the photo session into a non-stop joy ride, turning every click into a magical moment. It was a sheer delight to witness the unfiltered happiness that radiated from this bunch!

As a photographer, it was heartening to witness the Green Family's appreciation for what I do. They understood the power of candid shots, recognizing that these unposed moments hold a unique charm and authenticity. No stiff poses or forced smiles here—just genuine, heartwarming moments.

By allowing me to capture the story of their beach time through spontaneous snapshots, they entrusted me to create a collection of photographs that will serve as a cherished keepsake for years to come! I’m so happy with the results. Their photos will serve as a window into this cherished chapter of their lives, and I hope I get the chance to photograph them again!

Josh and Elyse’s Beach Mini Session at Round Island Beach Park

This is Josh and Elyse’s first holiday season in Vero Beach! To celebrate, they booked me for a festive mini session at Round Island Beach Park.

I’m always super excited to meet first-time clients, and Josh and Elyse were no different! These two are such an adorable couple, and I am thrilled that they signed up for my mini sessions this year.

Josh and Elyse brought their adorable frenchie Linus. They were a little worried how Linus would do since it was his very first time getting professional photos done with the family, but he did great!

One thing that Elyse and Josh did that took their session above and beyond was their outfits! They followed my wardrobe coordination guide to the last letter, and I couldn’t be prouder of them.

Everyone was super excited for the session, which was awesome! There were no dragging feet, which meant that Elyse and Josh warmed up to the camera pretty much right away, and we were able to take all the shots that we wanted.

Like most guys, Josh was probably the least comfortable in front of the camera, but that didn’t stop him from having a great attitude about it! I was thrilled for the couple as they loosened up and started having a blast.

Elyse expressed interest in sunset and beach shots that highlighted the water. I don’t blame her! The Florida sunsets are beyond magical, and the water curled in perfect waves along the shore.

She also wanted to focus on more natural poses, so I prepared a list of prompts for some cute and candid interactions between the couple.

Some of my absolute favorites include walking towards or away from me, dancing, and yes, kissing! My goal isn’t necessarily to capture the kiss itself, but the magical smile that the couple shares right after.

We definitely got the shot! Seriously—everything about this session was perfection. I’m so proud of these two for absolutely slamming this festive mini session out of the park. Thanks so much, Josh and Elyse! It was so much fun to have you at my beach mini sessions. I hope to see you and Linus again soon!
