Vincent Family Beach Mini Session in Vero Beach, FL

Recently, I had the pleasure of welcoming the Vincent family to Vero Beach, FL. At the time of this session, they were brand new to the area and first time clients, so it was a thrill to show them the beauty of Vero Beach. This was the perfect backdrop for a family eager to make new memories.

Heather and Greg Vincent have one two-year-old son named Noah. They brought an infectious enthusiasm to their photo session, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. They were so easygoing and flexible, and that definitely helped on a windy day like today!

On the day of our shoot, it was windy enough to fly kites, which isn’t exactly the best thing for photos. Fortunately, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. We sought refuge from the wind when we could, but for a lot of the photos, the wind added a touch of movement.

The good news is that if the wind messes up your hair, we can always delete the picture and try again. This meant that we could choose the best images from the entire session, so no one felt self-conscious.

Noah's energy made the session vibrant and alive. Heather and Greg were the epitome of patience and flexibility, playing and interacting with Noah in a way that allowed me to capture beautiful, candid moments despite the windy conditions.

As a local photographer, there's a special joy in showcasing the beauty of my corner of the world, and this session with the Vincents was no exception. Just look at the sky and the waves!

To manage the playful chaos of a two-year-old, we crouched low to meet Noah at his level, which not only helped stabilize the shots against the wind but also brought a fresh perspective to the images.

The outcome of our beach mini session was nothing short of adorable. The natural light, combined with the sea breeze and the Vincent family's easy-going nature, resulted in photos that feel dynamic and intimate.

Heather has plans to print these photos for their family home, turning these fleeting moments into lasting memories on their walls. It's always a fulfilling part of my job to know that the art we created together will become part of a family's daily life.

Musselman Beach Family Session at Riomar Beach in Vero Beach, FL

There's something truly magical about Beach Family Sessions, especially around the holidays. This season, I had the privilege of photographing the Musselman Family at Riomar Beach in Vero Beach, FL for their Christmas cards.

I was thrilled when the Musselmans chose me for their special family photo session, knowing that select images from our gallery would help spread Christmas cheer to all of their family and friends.

The Musselman family are brand-new clients of mine, and they are a vibrant blend of personalities and passions. The Mom, Linda, is the entrepreneurial spirit behind Byzantine Market, where she sells 100% handmade and 100% delicious treats with no additives or sugar.

Her husband, John, alongside their children, Laurel and Johnny, complete this picture-perfect family. Each member brought their unique energy to the session, contributing to a collection of photos that are as dynamic as they are.

Our rendezvous was set at Riomar Beach, which was the perfect setting for our Beach Family Photo Session. Known for its stunning vistas and tranquil ambiance, we had no trouble at all making this beach our own.

The Musselmans arrived early, bubbling with excitement and ready to start. What stood out to me was the level of cooperation from everyone, including the kids, which is always a delightful surprise in family photography!

Linda, with her keen eye for detail, came prepared with a list of specific photos she hoped to capture. While I always carry a list of go-to shots for family sessions, having input from the family ensures that the session is tailored to their exact wishes. This collaboration ensures that the final images are not just reflections of my artistic vision but are deeply personal and meaningful to the family.

Throughout the session, the Musselmans thrived. Their natural bond and comfort with each other shone through in every shot. Whether it was candid laughter, tender embraces, or playful poses with the children, each photograph captured the essence of their family bond.

They were also unafraid to play! We captured shot after shot of them playing in the sand and the waves, just enjoying the feeling of being together. It’s clear that they loved every second of our session!

In the end, I bet Linda and the family had such a hard time choosing just one photo from our gallery to feature on their Christmas card. These are all winners!

Watson Family Beach Mini Session at Round Island Beach Park

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing the Watson family during my Beach Mini Sessions at Round Island Beach Park. This session was particularly special for me because I got to see Stephanie again! She is the founder and director of Vero Beach Academy, where my daughter has received part of her education.

Reconnecting with her and meeting her wonderful family was an absolute delight. Stephanie and her husband Jeremy, along with their three beautiful daughters: Alexa, Emma, and Sophia, provided me with the perfect opportunity to freeze moments in time for them. They were eager to document this point in their lives, and I was more than excited to be their photographer.

When I first met the Watson family at Round Island Beach Park, they were so excited to create some memories. Stephanie was determined that we capture the essences of all her girls, and we were up for the challenge.

We began with capturing the sisters' bond. Whether they were sitting down, standing up, or even in individual shots, their warmth shone brightly. Their laughter and affection for each other added an extra layer of charm to each photo!

Having not had a family photo session in many years, they were initially a little nervous. However, it didn't take much coaxing for them to relax and let their love for each other shine through.

Of course, I just had to sneak in about a million couple photos!

Gradually, the family opened up and let loose, revealing their genuine love for each other. Their willingness to be themselves made this session a huge success! By the end of our time together, they were radiant, relaxed, and genuinely enjoying themselves.

The images we captured during this session will serve as a beautiful reminder of this moment in their lives, preserving the love, joy, and connection they share as a family.

Photographing the Watson family at Round Island Beach Park for my Beach Mini Sessions was an amazing experience. Reconnecting with Stephanie and getting to know her loving family was a huge privilege.

As a photographer, it's my greatest joy to document these moments of togetherness for families like the Watsons. Thanks so much for choosing me as your family photographer! Our time together was a moment filled with smiles, laughter, and love. And that, I believe, is what family is all about.

Christina's Vero Beach Family Session

This was the very first time since Covid that Christina’s extended family was able to come down from Canada, so a family session was definitely in order! They booked me for an amazing beach session, and I’m thrilled with how the photos turned out!

Because this was their first photography session in awhile, Christina had a list of photos she wanted us to capture. I was all for it!

We first took some posed photos to ensure that we met all of Christina’s goals. It was great to see everyone smiling together! Some of you might recognize my son, Daniel. He and Madelina are dating!

There was one family member, Madelina’s brother Amadeus, who wasn’t able to make it to the session. He’s off studying in Croatia, so they included a printed photo of him in some of the shots!

It’s definitely tough when the entire family can’t be at the photo shoot, but this was a super fun way to honor Amadeus.

Group shots of the different family units were a must. It was so much fun to include multiple sides of the family!

The grandparents couldn’t walk far, so we stayed in the nearby vicinity. The boardwalks were a great way to capture some adorable couple shots of them!

Grandma had a super fun fish dress on, with all sorts of colorful sea creatures! Statement pieces like this definitely make your sessions unique.

Posed shots done, we walked out onto the sand and took some amazing photos of the family near the water! With the sun just beginning to set, we had some gorgeous light that made the family glow.
