Baby Ellie has been a shining star in my baby program series this year, which is why I was over the moon when her parents, Alex and Daniel, invited me to come photograph Ellie’s Baby Dedication at their church!
I was more than happy to add in an extra session to her plan so we could document such an important milestone for Ellie and her family.
The whole family even dressed up for the occasion! With the men in suits and ties and the ladies in gorgeous dresses, these photos are definitely extra special. Ellie herself looked angelic in a lacy white dress and matching headband.
The dedication happened near the end of the service, so I snuck into the back of the sanctuary when the time drew near.
The sanctuary was a little dark, especially because it was cloudy and rainy outside. Fortunately, the pastor let me use my flash, so I could get perfect lighting when I needed a little extra help.
When she saw me, Ellie’s face lit up like a bunch of fireworks! She was all smiles, grinning from ear to ear as the pastor held her and led the prayer. Then, in the presence of all, Ellie’s loved ones dedicated her to God.
From her brothers, Matteo, Ivan, and Danny, to her sisters, Kaylie and Emilie, to all of their extended family and church family, there was such a strong sense of unity and peace in the room, the kind that only comes from God.
This idea of the whole family together, wrapped around a common goal to care for their littlest melted my heart!! They love Baby Ellie so much.
After the service was over, we stayed a little longer and took some group pictures. Portraits are a must after such a special day, so I made sure to take a bunch of Ellie with each family member.
Ellie continued to be the center of attention all throughout the morning, and for good reason! I’m so in love with how these photos turned out, Alex and Daniel! It was such a treat to capture Ellie’s baby dedication. Thanks so much for letting me be a part of it!
